A dynamic individual with proven leadership and management
qualities, Amrita Sabnavis, is the Founder and driving force behind the
successful business of Daily Roti in India.
Amrita Sabnavis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St.
Xavier’s College and a Master degree in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj
Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University.
As a senior investor relations executive with Reliance Private
Equity, Sabnavis quit her job in December 2015 to start an entrepreneurial
venture in the ready-to-cook segment.
She started her entrepreneurial venture in January 2016. Sabnavis
started the hardest business that she could find. She says, “I wanted a real
challenge.” It was her interest in food anthropology that fueled her
entrepreneurial venture of a very tough business ready-to-cook as it has to
take yet off in India and investors are yet to show their interest in
investment, but the Sabnavis took the initiative and accepted the challenge.
Amrita Sabnavis funding the venture on her own with her gratuity
and PF money and she says, as long as she could, she will sustain the business
on her own.
Due to distribution challenges in perishable products, the fresh
food space is a minefield. So far Sabnavis understands what works for the
consumer in food and its preparation context. The response time, when the
consumer wants food is also very important and key factors in ready-to-cook
business.
Before starting her entrepreneurial venture, Sabnavis was serving
with Reliance Private Equity as Vice President – Fundraising with the Advisory
Team. She worked very smartly and proved her expertise among her other team
members & management. She has total 16 years of diversified experience.
Before joining Reliance Private Equity, Sabnavis worked with HDFS
Bank as Vice President where she headed a product management team responsible
for delivery of banking products and services to high net worth clients of the
bank. She very successfully and smartly completed her responsibilities and
played her role in successful operations of the bank. Remember, Sabnavis always
worked hard but smartly because there is a difference only to work hard and
smarter. Being smart, Sabnavis saved time and achieved her objectives with
optimum results.
Before HDFC Bank, Sabnavis worked with JM Morgan Stanley’s wealth
management business and was responsible for providing specific financial
advisory services. She also worked Standard Chartered Bank and ANZ Grind lays
Bank, where she was briefly involved with a rural microfinance and supply chain
firm, where she helped set up livelihoods vertical.
Amrita Sabnavis has well equipped with management knowledge, rich
and diversified experience and lots of qualities and skills like business
strategy, relationship management, banking, retail banking and wealth
management. With all the qualities and abilities, the Sabnavis is doing her
business and taking a big challenge as she says, “I wanted a real challenge.”
