The condition or fact of being habituated to a particular activity, thing or substance is
known as addiction. There are many types of the addictions such as phencyclidine,
inhalants, hallucinogens, amphetamines, cannabis, cocaine, prescription drugs,
opioids, tobacco, and alcohol, etc. Addictions have many disadvantages like as Bad for health,
Mood swings, Paranoia, Not a good look, lose weight, anxiety, You smell bad,
loose family, friend, and job, waste of
time and money. There are many misconceptions about the addictions such as it
cannot a disease it is only lack of the willpower, you can control it, drug
aficionados fit a stereotype, drug addicts are evil people and recovery is boring.
One of the biggest misconceptions is about
addictions that we will omit these addictions when we want, but mostly people did not eliminate
the addictions. I want to give you an
example about addiction smoking cigarettes. The action of smoking cigarettes
carbon sends monoxide, nicotine, tar and several other dangerous materials into
the body. Consumption these materials on a steady basis changes the balance of
blood oxygen stages and additional features of metabolism. Understandably, the
risk for health issues from tobacco usage itself is much significant than from old experience. So, in this example,
I describe that which is disadvantages of cigarettes addiction but one time
people starts smoking they were not able
to omit this addiction.
It is clear that numerous misconceptions about the habits in the people’s minds which can lead the
issues for the both society and addict as a whole. Addicts ignored the reality
about his addiction and said that my
addictions are just enjoyed, but it is not enjoying it will become a cause of your
death. It is necessary for both society and addict that wash their minds about
addictions’ misconceptions because it is big
loss for both community and addict (Comito) .
